Former resort Hotel built in 1926 in the architectural style typical of the "Roaring Twenties", L'Etoile Guest house is a mountain retreat in the South of France. With a beautiful garden along the Allier River, L'Etoile Guesthouse is located in La Bastide-Puylaurent between Lozere, Ardeche and Cevennes.

Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Big veranda, terraces, balcony, dining room with fire-place, piano and bar. Large garden along the Allier river. Meeting room, Private parking lot. Garage for bicycles.

The evening meal is served at 7:30 p.m. at table d'hotes. It consists of soup, raw vegetables, main course, local cheeses and dessert. Dinner is accompanied by spring water and homemade bread. Verbena infusion or coffee.
Breakfast is served from 7 am to 9:30 am. It consists of orange juice, local apple juice, coffee, tea, chocolate, milk, homemade bread, local cheese, blueberry jams, raspberries and figs, butter, local honey, cottage cheese and cereals.

You can enjoy good Belgian beers, a glass of wine or a local apple juice in the garden on the banks of the Allier.

By footpath: GR®7, GR®70 Stevenson trail, GR®72, GR®470, GR®700 Regordane way. (On the arrival at La Bastide-Puylaurent by GR®70 or GR®700: pass the train level crossing, pass the front of the station which is on your right and continue straight to L'Etoile Guesthouse which is 300m after the station on the small road which goes to Chasserades & Mende.)

By train: From Marseille, Montpellier, Nimes, Paris, Clermont-Ferrand & Mende, take the direct train to La Bastide-Puylaurent (Ask for "La Bastide Saint Laurent")
By plane: nearest Airport: Nimes Garons (120km), Lyon Saint Exupery (197km), Marseille Provence (243km). Londres > Nimes. Liverpool > Nimes. East Midlands > Nimes
In the village of La Bastide-Puylaurent, you will find a pharmacy, a bazaar, a bakery, a grocery, a butcher, a garage and a post office. There is no Automatic Teller Machine (ATM).
Around L'Etoile: Abbey Our Ladie of Snow, Thermal Spa of Saint Laurent-les-Bains, Tanargue Massif, picturesque villages of Loubaresse, Montselgues, Thines and the typical market of Les Vans Saturday morning (Ardeche). The medieval village of La Garde-Guerin, Grand Canyon of Chassezac, Mont Lozere, Lakes of Naussac (Langogne) and Villefort. The fortified village of Pradelles, the volcano lake of Bouchet and the very beautiful city of Puy en Velay (Haute-Loire).
