GR®132 Hiking: La Sausselière (Loiret) to Chaumot (Yonne)

The GR132 follows the rural paths of a transitional region, once a crossroads between the royal domain and the Burgundian lands. Its route is intimately linked to water and the ancient agricultural activities that shaped the local identity. The trail meanders through landscapes of hedgerows and hidden valleys. Hikers cross protected wetlands, deciduous forests, and cereal-growing plateaus where the sky seems to stretch to infinity. Nature is generous yet discreet, sheltering a rich array of lowland and undergrowth wildlife, particularly around the Ouanne Valley. As you approach Chaumot, the terrain becomes more pronounced, heralding the first foothills of the Yonne.
